A typical Chenin Blanc with ripe tropical fruit aromas, especially guava and pineapple, complemented by whiffs of lemon. Good balance of fruit and acidity, followed by a fresh, zesty finish. Enjoy with pasta, Mediterranean vegetables, salads or seafood. Great on its own.
Explosive tropical fruit, with distinctive pineapple, guava and kiwi, make this achiever an exceptional varietal for any occasion. Enjoy with white meat, Mediterranean roasted vegetables, pasta, salad or seafood.
The Simonsvlei winery was founded in 1945 by a group of local wine farmers who wanted to provide the facilities and expertise to make high-quality wine. Nestled in the Paarl Valley with the magnificent Simonsberg Mountain as the backdrop, there are around 1,000 hectares of vineyards that provide a good diversity of terroir with soils ranging from shale to clay, and some cooler sites in Klipheuwel and Durbanville that are perfect for producing white grapes.
