Domaine du Colombier Cuvée Gaby Crozes Hermitage
£24.75 £30.95 - per bottle
A rich, plummy, full-bodied red wine with floral violet, black plum, blackberry and white pepper notes on the nose and the palate. Easy drinking, and pairs well with red meat dishes and medium to mature cheeses.
'2015 - A vintage marked by heat and drought, but without any of the downside as nights were cool, maintaining acidity, and rains well-timed for ideal ripening. Reds are rich in both fruit and terroir, with ample but integrated structure; whites are remarkably vibrant and pure. Looks to rival 2010, 1990 and 1961' - Wine Specator
|Style||Rich, plummy, full-bodied red wine|

Vineyard & Wine Region Information
Florent Viale took over the winemaking at Domaine du Colombier in Tain l’Hermitage in 1991 and since then has really hit his stride with his wonderfully complex and textured Hermitage and Crozes Hermitage. Florent is a master at making Syrah and has a deft touch producing wines that are pure, full of character with a perfect silky charm. The Crozes Hermitage vineyards lie right next to the Hermitage appellation and so have the best sites within the appellation. He makes two Crozes Hermitages with the cuvée prestige Gaby (named after Florent’s father) being the more concentrated and age worthy one produced from the best barrels.
