An easy drinking, vegan, low sulphite wine, made from a blend of Carignan, Mourvedre, Grenache, Syrah and Zinfandel with raspberry, red cherry and white pepper flavours.

Produced by Bonny Doon Winery in Santa Cruz, California, this wine is an example of their 'hands-off' style, with as little intervention in the winemaking process as possible. Indigenous yeast helps the fermentation process and the use of traditional grape varieties, mostly from old vineyards help them to make this unadulterated delicious wine. Fined with bentonite clay, this is suitable for vegans and with only 25ppm free sulphites it is also a great option, for those adversely affected by high sulphite levels.
This is so easy to drink, that it needs no accompaniment, but it would pair well with medium to mature cheeses, red meat dishes and game. It would go particularly well with duck and lamb.
