A critically acclaimed powerful, intense red wine from a prestigious 'Grand Cru' right bank vineyard of Bordeaux. Mellow notes of red and black fruits, hints of cedar and tobacco on the nose. On the palate it gives rich dark fruits, smooth tannins and an exceptionally long finish. Easy drinking, and pairs well with all well seasoned red meats and with strong mature cheeses.

Vineyard & Wine Region Information
In Bordeaux the Grand Cru classification is reserved for wines of the highest quality. Unlike Médoc wines, in Saint Emilion wines are typically made from a blend of just Merlot and Cabernet Franc. They are mellow, smooth yet still age worthy and complex red wines.
Owned by the Lavigne-Poitevin family for six generations, Sophie and Laurent produce an exceptional blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc using organic farming techniques. Like most family owned and run vineyards, for them quality is everything and grapes are immediately de-stemmed and manually sorted following the harvest. This ensures that the juice extracted from the fruit is pure and in turn, that their wines are exceptional.
