Vineyard & Wine Region Information
The Chanoine champagne house is the second oldest in Champagne, founded originally in 1730 by two brothers, Jacques-Louis and Jean-Baptiste. The brothers excavated the first ever champagne cellars in the town of Epernay that year. They travelled the length and breadth of Europe, introducing their champagne to the affluent society of the time.
Vintage champagne is produced only in good quality years. The champagne produced using the classic champagne method, it is fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The champagne is aged in bottle for at least 5 years which allows the flavours to develop to give a fine, soft and elegant champagne.
