De Martino Arenal Single Vineyard Cabernet Carmenere
£15.95 £19.95 - per bottle
Arenal '16 is 80% Cabernet and 20% Carménère, slowly matured in French barrels to respect the fruit and highlight the expression of the vineyard. Open this belter of a red up and let it charm your senses with its dense dark fruit and warming spicy intensity. There's something comforting about a good bottle of Chilean red wine. It's intrinsically linked to the long clear sunny days and the concentrated grapes that provide exceptional depth.

Vineyard & Wine Region Information
This limited production red is rich, rounded and brilliantly balanced. Blended during 2016, this is a single vineyard release from the 'Arenal Vineyard', a 25-year-old plot of vines in the heart of Isla de Maipo. It has been sat in barrel since the initial blending and 12 months on it is ready to roll. There's a nice floral lift on the nose with dense black fruit and gentle, tempting spice. The palate starts all juicy and is instantly enjoyable, but this is seriously premium stuff so could handle a little time in the rack, for sure.
