Vineyard & Wine Region Information
DeMorgenzon, meaning 'the morning sun', gets its name from the high altitude of the Stellenboschkloof Valley, which is the first part to the see the rising sun. The first vines were planted in the 1700s and the estate was bought by Wendy and Hylton Appelbaum in 2003 where it has had a complete transformation over the past few years.
Classical music is played throughout the vineyard twenty four hours a day to help the vines stay healthy and improve their growth.
