Mainly situated in ‘bas’ Beaujolais, Jean-Paul Brun makes Beaujolais wine from the Gamay grape in the Burgundy style, in other words, without employing some of the common Beaujolais methods such as carbonic maceration. This enables him to create a more serious wine with a greater concentration of fruit and higher tannin levels.
