Founded in 1901 by Don Leoncio Arizu, Bodega Luigi Bosca has a long history of producing wine in Argentina. The Arizu family have been producing wine for over 100 years, and they are currently led by their third and fourth generations. Bodega Luigi Bosca is one of the few wine-producers that remains in the hands of its founding family and was actively involved in the creation of the Luján de Cuyo DOC, the very first appellation in Argentina.
Contents of Case:
• 1 x Malbec - A critically acclaimed soft, juicy, spicy, medium-bodied red wine. Cherry and blackcurrant notes on the nose and the palate with a nice white pepper finish. Easy drinking, and pairs well with tapas or game. Finca La Linda Malbec is produced organically from 100% Malbec vines that are over 30 years old. It has an intense purple colour and distinct aromas of cherries and spices, typical of Malbec. Aged in oak casks, it has a smooth texture that envelopes the palate in fruitiness.
• 1 x Torrontes - A fragrant and fruity dry white wine. Orange blossom notes on the nose, white peach and orange marmalade notes on the palate. Easy drinking and pairs superbly with Thai or Asian style dishes, white fish, chicken and soft cheeses.
Luigi Bosca owns seven vineyards in the province of Mendoza, all based around Luján de Cuyo. Some of the grape varieties under cultivation date back to the late 1800s when they were first brought from Europe to Argentina. The Mendoza region is famed for its low humidity, clean mountain air, pure mountain water and cool breezes, perfect for the use of biodynamic cultivation techniques.
