Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter
Pours black with a thick creamy tan head. Coffee, smokey malt and bitter chocolate on the nose with coffee and dark chocolate on the palate.
In 1990, George Stranahan founded the Flying Dog Brewpub in Aspen, Colorado. From that brewpub to a full-fledged Denver brewery (co-founded by George and his longtime friend and partner, Richard McIntyre) in 1994, and then to our current state-of-the-art brewing facility in Frederick, Maryland. The name Flying Dog was inspired by a piece of artwork George had seen on a drinks list at a hotel in 'Pindi', Pakistan during his expedition to the summit of K2.
