Its colour is deep, garnet red and the bouquet is fine and pleasing, with intense scents of spiced rose and licorice. The flavour is dry, warm, full-bodied and balanced with pronounced tannins and a persistent aftertaste. A wine particularly adapted for aging.

Barolo is a delicious red wine from the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. It is made strictly from Nebbiolo grapes. Aromatic with rich tannins and characteristics of old oak, these wines are considered, by most, to be some of Italy’s finest.

Founded in 1864, the Fenocchio Estate is now in its fifth generation of family business; now owned by Claudio Fenocchio, along with his brothers.

Before WWII, their wine was sold in local markets and to this day the wines remain just as traditional. Even though modern technology is used, there is harmony between technology and nature. Despite modern technology, their wine making philosphy remains the same to produce a consistently top quality wine.
