Gavi has a pale straw colour with greenish reflections, a delicate bouquet, with hints of fresh fruit and white flowers, with notes of citrus fruits and bitter almonds, which gains stronger minerality and complexity with aging. It is pleasantly fresh, harmonious, with great elegance.
For more than three generations the Tacchino family has produced wine of a well known quality.
Alessio and Romina represent the new generation, inheriting the passion for these lands from their grandfather who was the founder and from their father and , with the support of technology for the production and the advice of expert oenologist, adding value to a wine which is already good traditionally. The wine agency of Luigi Tacchino was born in Castelletto d’Orba , in alto Monferrato in Piemonte, about the second half of the last century. In these lands fascinating and rich of tradition started the production of bianco Gavi and rosso dolcetto d’Ovada and barbera del Monferrato which remain even today the most precious pearls of the agency together with these, loving and knowing work man-ship in the hills of Alto Monferrato , have produced in the years wines, which are also precious, and they accompany the more traditional products.
