Tinto Pesquera Crianza Alejandro Fernandez Ribera del Duero
£22.95 - per bottle
Clean with good depth. Deep crimson in colour with a violet rim. On the nose, this wine boasts hints of black and red fruit, in particular blackberries and raspberries.
Spicy notes appear followed by vanilla and liquorish, which give rise to a serious, complex wine with nuances that evolve over time. Round tannins which burst with potential. A silky, clean wine with hints of fresh varietals that reappear under the tongue after the first few seconds in the glass, intertwined with the impeccable smokiness of wood. Pleasurable sensations hit the palate with every sip. The fruity aftertaste highlights the flavours of blackberry and liquorish, which lead the way to a spicy finish. Ready to drink from time of purchase. Decant 30 minutes before serving as the wine could contain sediment due to the natural winemaking process. This dose not affect the quality of wine. Perfect with game birds and other products such as Iberian ham from acorn-fed pigs.
