A soft, juicy, savoury, medium-bodied red wine made from a blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes. Fruity blackcurrant and cherry notes on the nose and the palate with a hint of liquorice and smoke on the finish. Easy drinking and pairs well with most red meats, game and medium to mature cheeses.
A small family owned estate in the Rioja Alavesa region based near the village of Torremontalbo; a tiny village of no more than 20 inhabitants! Bodegas Amézola de la Mora has been aptly run by sisters Cristina and María Amézola following the tragic death of their respected winemaker father I?igo in 1999. At the time the sisters took up the reigns of the winery they were the youngest wine-producers in the Rioja region. Their enthusiasm and diligence has led them to produce very high quality, critically acclaimed wines.
