A delicious, low sulphite, Spanish red wine made from a blend of Monastrell and Syrah, packed with blackcurrant, black cherry, violet, black pepper and woody flavours. Like most Monastrell wines, this one drinks well on its own and will also pair nicely with all meats and medium to mature cheeses.
Vineyard & Wine Region Information
The Vina Elena Winery is a family run winery in Jumilla, which was founded in 1948 by Paco Pacheco, the grandfather of the family now running the winery. The business has passed through the hands of his son and now onto the founder's grandaughter Elena, who with her sisters, and with the guidance of their father, continue to make wines which are faithful to the original style, and from the same old vines that her grandfather used. This wine is made using organic principles, and has successfully extracted the best from the land whilst fully respecting the environment. The Vina Elena Winery is a member of the 'Organic Agriculture Council of the Region of Murcia'.
