Following the success of the original, we have worked alongside Gloucestershire cider maker Rod Clifford to create a low alcohol 0.5% abv cider to add to the Wild Wave family. Wild Wave 0.5% has a refreshing balance thanks to its unique blend of bittersweet and dessert apples. Inspired by a walk on Southwold beach, the vision was to create a premium cider made entirely from English apples, with a taste so fresh and fruity, it would feel like a refreshing splash in the face.

This is a fully fermented cider, which means it maintains that classic cider taste, just without the associated alcohol content. We have blended a mix of bittersweet and dessert apple juice for a distinctively English cider taste. Elegantly balanced, with flavours and aromas of fresh apples and a medium-dry-finish, it remains juicy and delicious at just 0.5% abv.

This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Adnams is well-known for brewing beer and making spirits and has enjoyed a great reputation for wine for many years; but we had never a made cider before. In Wild Wave's unique blend of apples, we were looking for depth of flavour, but also additional tannins which add body and that refreshing, astringent finish you would get from a dry white wine. This gives a cider both drinkability and a versatility akin to wine in terms of food pairing. We worked alongside Gloucestershire cider maker Rod Clifford to produce just the right blend of bittersweet and dessert apples. Following the success of our first foray into cider, we created a 0.5% version to add to the Wild Wave family, for those occasions when you are looking for something lighter, without compromising on taste.

Adnams has a long and colourful history. We're proud of our Southwold roots, which help give us the strength and confidence to grow and evolve, keeping us fresh and innovative.

Beer has been brewed on the same site in Southwold for at least 670 years. Our long history gives us firm foundations and we look forward to an exciting and sustainable future.
