Description

A juicy, New England-style IPA that bursts with tropical and citrus fruit flavour. Hazy in appearance and soft on the palate, it delivers layers of mango, pineapple, and orange, rounded out by a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel. Brave, bold, and unapologetically juicy.

Cold Town was born in the heart of Edinburgh, a city with a proud brewing heritage. The name comes from Calton Hill, originally known as Caltoun — or “Cold Town” — one of the very first places in Britain where beer was brewed using hops back in the 16th century. Reviving that name felt like the perfect way to connect modern craft beer with centuries of history.

From the start, Cold Town set out to make beer that is playful, approachable, and proudly Scottish, while never compromising on quality. We use the best local ingredients — pure Scottish water and top-class barley — to brew beers that are crisp, vibrant, and full of character.

Our flagship Cold Town Lager quickly became a favourite across Edinburgh and beyond, paving the way for a diverse range that now includes bold IPAs, juicy hazy brews, refreshing alcohol-free options, and special collaborations. We’re always experimenting, creating small-batch and limited-edition beers that push flavour forward while staying true to our roots.

But Cold Town has always been about more than beer. It’s about fun, creativity, and community — from supporting local artists and charities, to hosting festivals, collaborations, and unforgettable nights out at our home, Cold Town House. Whether it’s poured fresh at the source, enjoyed in a pub, or cracked open from a can at home, Cold Town Beer is made for sharing good times and great memories.

Because for us, beer should never take itself too seriously — it should just taste seriously good.
