Bernard Fouquet Cuvee de Silex Vouvray Chenin Blanc

Fruity and aromatic, this wine is a lovely example of a fragrant Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley. This wine drinks well on its own but would also go with chicken dishes, white fish, and, with its orange citrus notes, even duck à l'orange.

Situated in the heart of Vouvray, this boutique winery produces amazing wines made from Chenin Blanc. They aim to keep the wine as natural as possible and have adopted a 'lutte raisonée' approach in the vineyard, which means that there is as little chemical intervention as possible. This is the same in the winery, where their techniques enable them to cut down on the use of sulphites. The resulting wines are fresh and fruity and immediately drinkable, although they can also be kept for several years.
