This light, flinty, straw coloured Picpoul from the Languedoc has notes of pear, citrus, pineapple and grapefruit with hints of minerals. Very well balanced, you’ll also get notes of apple and tropical fruit on the nose. Very fresh and very drinkable, enjoy as an aperitif or with seafood.
FOOD SUGGESTIONS – Pasta, Poultry, Lean Fish and great with Seafood. Also to be enjoyed as an aperitif.
Languedoc is one of the oldest wine producing regions in France and is said to date back to at least 6000BC. During the World Wars, the French Army received its daily wine rations from Languedoc-Rousillon.
Although there is great a great diversity and volume of wine produced in this region, white wines are typically aromatic and crisp often with floral and stone fruit notes.
