In France, Sauvignon Blanc finds its purest expression in the Loire valley. The appellation of Touraine offers refreshing, fruity and well-priced examples.
Crisp and aromatic with lovely citrus fruit flavours, lots of energy, pink grapefruit, gooseberry, pear and nettle flavours. Serious value from the Loire.
Founded in 1962 the Durand estate eventually expanded to include 43 hectares of vines: 33 in and around Sancerre with a further ten in Menetou-Salon. Working in the principle of minimum intervention with the utmost respect for the environment, wines are made with great care in-situ and have established the domaine’s excellent reputation.
