Our vodka is made from the purest sugar cane spirit, grown and distilled at the Kakira Sugar Estate, established in 1930. Uniquely crafted, our vodka goes through multiple chilled charcoal filtrations for an extraordinary smooth taste and flawless finish.

Production Method: From 'grass to glass', Kakira Coffee Vodka is made from molasses derived from sugar cane grown on the Kakira Estate, East Africa's largest sugar producer. Fermented, chamber distilled and triple charcoal filtered at zero degrees, Kakira Coffee Vodka is estate bottled, infused with natural coffee flavours and cut with water from Lake Victoria, the source of the River Nile.

A Taste of Africa from the Kakira Sugar Estate

Kakira Spirits was started on the Kakira Sugar Estate, established in 1930 by the Madhvani Family in the Jinja Region of Uganda. All the products offered are produced from sugar cane, specifically the molasses left over from the sugar production. At the core of the brand, it was started to decrease waste and carbon footprint during the sugar making process and increase revenue. Since then Kakira has grown substantially; producing award winning spirits & creating a charitable fund for the local environment, wildlife, and water conservation in Uganda.
