Clear and bright, with a pale golden hue. A steady stream of very fine bubbles feed into a lively and persistent mousse. Delicate on the nose with aromas of citrus fruits, underpinned by hints of white flowers (honeysuckle). The complexity of the wine is expressed in successive notes of white peach and richer citrus flavours such as grapefruit.
Laurent-Perrier is one of the finest names to behold on a bottle of Champagne. The house was created in 1812 by Alphonse Pierlot and sold to the Nonancourt family in 1939. It has since become one of the most famous of the Grandes Marques ('Big Name') Champagnes and is also the region's largest family owned house. La Cuvée is Laurent-Perrier's finely honed non vintage fizz, recently reblended with a particularly high proportion of Chardonnay for creamy finesse and from Reserve wines for extra layers of toasty complexity. It was delicious before; now it's even more delectable. It's a classy fizz with a fine mousse and rich layers of flavour.
