On the palate it gives us a gentle, soft, slightly sweet start. Red fruits give way to plum sarrapia, orange peel, almonds and walnuts, with balanced acidity and tannicity. Of moderate minerality. Four friends in Venezuela developed the idea of ageing rum longer without replenishment. To stand out from the crowd, and create high quality rum that can sit proudly next to the finest Cognacs and Single Malts in the world. The company starting initially as an ageing company in the year 2003 to give time for the rums to age and build up inventories.
Many years were spent in trials, working with a rum master ageing rum stocks and perfecting the idea. Keen to show the world the results, Roble entered the Madrid International Rum Conference awards and won Double Gold in 2012. This validated the friend´s endeavour and drove them forward. In 2013 the brand was launched onto the market in Venezuela. And, still the awards kept coming.
In 2022, Roble Viejo Maestro was launched in honor of our Maestro Ronero's 50th anniversary in rum industry.
