Fragrant fruity aromas, particularly plum, followed by delicate mint and green tea notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and smooth with a long finish.
Il Bruciato ‘The Burnt’ was born in 2002, in one of the most difficult harvests of Tenuta Guado al Tasso, to tell and raise awareness of the unique terroir of Bolgheri in a modern style. The carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes come from vineyards located on soils with a wide geological variability capable of expressing great complexity.
Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the small and prestigious DOC of Bolgheri, on the coast of Alta Maremma, about a hundred kilometers south-west of Florence. This denomination has a relatively short history (born in 1995) but boasts an international reputation as a new point of reference in the world wine scene. Tenuta Guado al Tasso extends over an area of 320 hectares planted with vineyards, in a splendid plain surrounded by hills known as the "Bolgheri amphitheatre" due to its particular conformation. The Guado al Tasso vineyards are mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Vermentino grapes. They enjoy a mild climate due to the nearby presence of the sea: the constant breezes mitigate the summer heat and the rigors of winter, clean the sky and keep the sunshine index high.
